Faces of Fusion makes me Happinez…

Faces of Fusion was fantastic!  There is so much to talk about, I don’t know where to begin.

I guess it all started when I decided to treat myself and got my hair done for the evening, which I must say was a marvelous idea.  Then I returned home to get ready, finish the slide show and whip up a matching pendant for the earrings I made a week ago.  My dress from Je Suis Prest, INCREDIBLE, and I had to stop by to see Keira and do a little twirl!

As usual, I was in charge of the nametag & beer buddy table.  Everyone loves beer buddy, it forces you to mingle and meet new people and you get free beer!  Last nights beer just happened to be the new Cracked Canoe from Moosehead.  I got to greet every single person who came in the door (which I love) and check out just how gorgeous they all were!

The room was fabulous.  The appetizer bar & reception area were awesome and the decor superb (I loved the 3 foot centerpieces in Fusion colors)!  My pictures of Fusion events were looping on the two media screens, and my table had fun laughing at all the good times as they scrolled by.  I had the pleasure of doling out the beer tickets, for which I got more lenient as the evening went on. 🙂

Mel Norton, our MC from title sponsor Lawson & Creamer, was wonderful.  The three Fusion members – past, present and future – spoke wonderfully, and our Keynote Mr. William Draves was superbly interesting.  I had the privilege of making him an honorary member of Fusion SJ by giving him the Fusion bar-code pin.

On top of the great food and decor, I was able to network (which is the whole point of the thing).  I met Ian from East Coast Connected, he came down from Toronto to take part in the festivities, some new people from the Board of Trade and a possible connection to sell my earrings in a new store coming to the valley.

Our 5th anniversary was a huge success.  If you didn’t make it this year, make sure you get your tickets for the 6th annual Faces of Fusion – May 2010.

But why did it make me Happinez?  Because that is where all the ‘happening’ people ended up after the event wrapped up.  We met up with some friends who didn’t make it out to Faces, and hung out over wine in the back corner of the hip wine cellar on Princess St.  What an evening!
